call to action
It truly is an amazing time to be a learner. Modern learners have access to technology that connects them to information, resources, and communities in a way that was unimaginable just a decade ago. Modern educators have a greater capacity to network with other professionals, access research, and innovate through collaboration than at any other time in history. And, the beliefs at the core of most educators - those of encouraging students to find their passions, to apply their learning, to develop skills and interests that will drive their happiness and success - are also valued by employers of the modern era.
Despite these exciting conditions, modern schooling has not evolved at the same rate as the world beyond our campuses. Every day, well-intentioned educators engage in a process of schooling that doesn't capitalize on the affordances of technology, that doesn't the align with their beliefs about learning, and that doesn't prepare students for success in careers or the community. Traditional stories of achievement are no longer the narrative of a successful school.
As students, educators, parents and communities of learning awaken to promise of the modern era, it's time that we tell new stories of success that go beyond test scores and data points. It's critical that we work together to reimagine, redesign, and reinvent learning.

Lead + Inspire
There are no blueprints you can use to restructure a school's culture of learning. The process to reimagine, redesign, and reinvent our schools will look different in every community. However, there are three clear access points to begin the process to lead and inspire your students, teachers, parents, and community members. By focusing on beliefs, modern contexts for learning, and professional practice - educational leaders can start conversations, incite a sense of urgency for change, and replace cultures of teaching with cultures of learning.
This workshop aims to spark discussions and ideas amongst administrators and to provide concrete strategies that can be implemented easily to begin the journey to reimagine, redesign, and reinvent our schools.
